As a subsidiary of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Academy of Finance (AoF), the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary and Financial Research (HKIMR) serves as a repository of knowledge in monetary and financial research, including applied research. The HKIMR is seeking a manager to conduct rigorous and policy-relevant research on topics of interest to the AoF and the HKIMR in the above-listed fields, contribute to the administration of the HKIMR, and communicate with multiple parties.

Requirements include (1) a postgraduate degree in economics, finance, applied econometrics, a PhD degree (obtained or close to completion) and interest in empirical macroeconomics or finance is a definite advantage; (2) at least 3 years of relevant research experience; (3) good analytical, programming and synthesis skills; and (4) good command of English, with drafting and presentation skills.

Selected candidate will be seconded from the HKMA to work in the HKIMR. Remuneration package will commensurate with the successful candidate’s background and experience.
