The Department of Business Analytics, Economics, and Information Systems (BAEIS) invites applications for two renewable, qualified-rank Assistant Teaching Professor positions in Economics, beginning August 10, 2026. These are full-time, non-tenure-track appointments with renewable 9-month contracts.

Responsibilities include teaching/developing undergraduate and/or graduate-level economics courses, primarily in areas of microeconomic and macroeconomic principles, intermediate economics, and potentially specific economic application areas. Applicant must demonstrate sufficient professional activity to maintain AACSB faculty qualifications, and perform service to department, college, university, profession, and community.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Economics (ABD accepted) or master’s degree in economics with the equivalent of at least 5 years of relevant work experience post master’s program. Preferred candidates will have further evidence of teaching performance, such as student and/or peer teaching evaluations, strong potential to contribute to BAEIS Department, as well as the missions of the Schmidthorst College of Business and BGSU.
