Department of Mathematical Sciences, Aalborg University invites applications for full and associate professorship positions in Econometrics and Time Series.
The starting date is 01.05.2026 or as agreed upon.
The successful candidates will join the Group for Research in Econometrics and Time Series.
Job description
We are looking for candidates who can strengthen our research profile. A significant part of our work involves collaboration with business partners and other Danish and international university departments, and we carry out applied and theoretical research.
Research topics relevant to the position
o Nonparametric estimation
o Machine learning methods in econometrics and time series analysis.
o Statistics for high-dimensional data.
o Stochastic volatility models.
o Time Series modeling in continuous and discrete time
Candidates are expected to teach and supervise students at all levels, including PhD students. Our study programme portfolio in mathematics-economics consists of a Masters degree and a Bachelor’s degree. Teaching will primarily take place within these programmes, although teaching in our engineering programmes may also become relevant.
Aalborg is a lively city in Northern Europe with a wide variety of music and cultural events.
