We update the results of Lipscomb et al 2013 to improve the stability of the instrument, to reconcile differences in definitions of the Amazon used in controls, and to update the standard errors based on the Lee et al 2022 tF procedure. We show that the instrument remains strong in the revised specification. The impact of electricity access is positive and important in magnitude though smaller and less precisely estimated than originally estimated in Lipscomb et al 2013.
